Book cover design for a hypothetical autobiographical series by Dutch illustrator Coen Pohl. My design references Pohl’s own principles of image making through basic geometry and colours.
The books were considered as three-dimensional objects, with the shapes wrapping around each form to simulate Coen’s unique isometric art. On the hardcover, contrasting colours helped differentiate the front and back from the spine.
This project was longlisted for the 71st Australian Book Design Award (ABDA 2023).
